After being wounded during his Northern campaign, Peter faces peril, temptation, and a great threat to Narnia. Susan, Edmund, and Lucy must find him before it is too late. "Post Horse and His Boy".

This is probably the longest story I've written in a good while, and it was inspired by Loreena McKennitt's "The Lady of Shalott", found on her The Visit album. FEK doesn't at all follow the plot of the poem, but there are definite elements of Tennyson present. The song "Better For You" by the band Kutless, found on their Sea of Faces album, and the final two tracks of the X-Men: The Last Stand soundtrack inspired the closing chapters.

The influence of Darknight on this story was minimal - the introduction of Edmund's lupine bodyguard and Susan's feline protectors was the main element introduced, but the notion of having each of the monarchs residency shown by the flags flying from the towers at the cardinal points of Cair Paravel was another.
