For Ever Kneel'd Dramatis Personae & Other Pictures
But the few I have matched up to a real person or place (and even those who have been matched up for me) are below. Enjoy! High King Peter of Narnia Here he is, folks, and until William Moseley cuts his hair, we'll have to do with pictures of a much younger Peter. But this is pretty much him. Yep. Lady Rua, the Phantom Queen, aka the Morrigan I had a general idea of what Rua (which means 'redheaded' in Irish Gaelic) looked like - the red hair, the bushy red eyebrows, etc., but didn't have an actual person in mind. Until, that is, I happened to catch Star Trek: First Contact on tv one afternoon, and the Borg Queen was everything my Rua should be - utterly sensual and utterly dangerous. And so, since Rua isn't bald or the 'leader' of a cybernetic collective, I went on a hunt for Alice Krige, who plays the Borg Queen. And lo and behold, I found two perfect pictures of my Lady Rua, the Phantom Queen, the goddess of war and destruction known to us as the Morrigan. The third picture is of Kristen Dalton, an actress whom Freya found for one of her OCs - and who just happened to also be perfect for Rua! Carvaca Mary Steenburgen is very, very close to my idea of Carvaca - thin and wiry, with the bouncy brown curls. Carvaca has had a much harder life, obviously, and is a bit more worn and tired-looking, but this is she. She often wears a scarf tied over her curls to keep them out of her face. Devon Imagine Bard the Bowman here bigger, brawnier, and grumpier, and you've got Devon. Palomnus the Faun My long-suffering OC Palomnus makes an appearance in "For Ever Kneel'd" and is "played", as ever, by J.J. Feild. The Island of Murano Take away the signs of civilization, put a forest where the clear sections are, and then a small, shallow valley towards this end, and you've got it. This particular place has been in my head since day one. Visit the rest of the Gwethil's websites |
