Navigation | In many ways, "The Redemption of Sulva" is a sequel to "King
Edmund's Crusade" - but life is not so neat and tidy as that, nor is
literature so simple. It is a sequel in the sense that the heroine of "King
Edmund's Crusade" - Elizabeth Agnoli - is also the heroine of this
tale, and it takes place after the events described in the former
work. There are a few other characters common to both works.
But, really, "The Redemption of Sulva" is a wholly new story. It is not set in Narnia and features so few of Lewis' own characters (and those which it does feature are, generally, "imported" from one set of stories to another!) that it could almost - but not quite - be considered original fiction.
