What is the Gwethil Glossary? As you will doubtless know if you are not a total ignoramus, a small group very quickly develops a shared cant or dialect in order to better communicate with each other, and also for the purpose of excluding outsiders. Given the fact that all the Gwethil's communications take place via secured methods, we don't actually need to have an impenetrable vocabulary in order to ensure we are not eaves-dropped upon. Hence, this glossary.

Each word is given a defintion, an example of it being used in context, and the person who came up with the word - or who most often uses it. We are a pretty egalitarian bunch, and regularly share stuff, however.

As all men of learning know	Darknight	A phrase used to prefigure a statement of scientific, historial or philosophical fact which is of dubious veracity at best, in order to draw attention to its doubtful provenance. Gives an air of ludicrous superiority to the purported knowledge. Similar to "That's science"	"As all men of learning know, the internet is a series of tubes which was invented by Al Gore."
Darth Emo / Darth Whiner	Darknight	Derogatory; a reference to Anakin Skywalker or one who acts like he does in Revenge of the Sith	"Quit being such a Darth Whiner, you douche."
Headdesk	Angoliel	The act of slamming your forehead into the desk with dawning realization of something that should have been obvious, or amazement at stupidity. Alternatively, an expression merely indicating these emotions.	"I should have guessed *headdesk*"
I think I've found my new tattoo!	Unknown originator	Used as a sign of approval of something somebody said, an acknowledgement of its wit, cleverness or humor. Similar to "QFT" ("Quoted For Truth")	"I MAKE THE DARK AFRAID!" "I think I've found my new tattoo!"
Fnar-fnar	Darknight	By adding this word to the end of any phrase, the phrase is immediately made a sexual innuendo	"I am going to bake a cake for my birthday, fnar-fnar."
A little sum'pin' sum'pin'	Dread Lady Freya	Euphemism for sex, esp. when one or both participants are generally considered repressed	"Qui-Gon Jinn deserves a little sum'pin' sum'pin'."
Non-review review (NRR) / un-review	Lady Deb	A review left for a story which completely fails to possess any of the qualities or attributes normally associated with a review. May be used as a noun or a verb	"Some asshat just left me a non-review review of 'I luv this!!!' on my magnum opus."
OMG-o'clock	FireMaiden	Unnecessarily early in the morning. Compare "Zero-dark thirty"	"Whose idea was it to hold this meeting at OMG-o'clock?"
Pimp	Darknight	i) Luthien's business manager ii) Very good, superior	i) "Where's your pimp? And does he take Visa?" ii) "A build-your-own-lightsaber kit is clearly pimp."
Put them in a blender and set it on damn	Darknight	Usage: She's like someone took X, Y and Z, p~. Used to describe a woman of literally awesome sex appeal. The three components are generally speaking other women, although they can be something else in order to achieve a particular effect	"Monica Bellucci is like someone took Sophia Loren, Aria Giovanni and a houri, put them in a blender and set it on damn."
Read-as-I[you]-review	Melanie or Cath	A somewhat stream-of-consciousness review of a chapter of a fanfic story written during the process of reading the chapter. Often contains personal jokes and appearances by Muses. Can sometimes cause the reviewer to be diagnosed in absentia with ADHD	"Woohoo! I am totally buzzed on Pop-Rocks and Steven Seagal's Lightning Bolt! Time for a read-as-I-review!"
Sack-Jam	Melanie	i) Originally two portmanteaus refering to a Jack O'Neil / Sam Carter 'ship ii) Euphemism for sex, esp. sudden and casual	i) "My new story is Sack." or "My new story is Jam." ii) "Is it unreasonable to assume that all red-blooded males would like some sack-jam with Colonel Carter?"
Seven kinds of awesome	Merc	A description of something or someone which transcends the usual levels of quality. More awesome than awesome	"Sean Bean in a kilt? That's seven kinds of awesome!"
Snerk	Lady Deb	Portmanteau; a cross between a snicker and a smirk	"And then Hawk kicked him in the face! Snerk."
Spooty	Melanie	Behaving in an unpredictable and unreliable manner; often said of technological systems, esp. websites	"FanFiction.net is being spooty again."
The man, the boy, the kiddie	Darknight	A person who is exceptionally cool, stylish, effective or otherwise laudable	"Rolf Harris is the man, the boy, the kiddie."
Woodle	Merc	Portmanteau; a writing doodle. A short story or fragment written in the main for the sheer amusement of it	"My new story is just a woodle, really."
