Anne's granddaughter, Christine Ford, is just as spirited as Anne herself. But her girlhood will be much more clouded. Her idyllic life in Avonlea is shattered when, once again, the shadow of war looms over the Blythe family and it's extensions. Her brother, friends, and sweetheart are all swept up in the tide of World War II, while Chris struggles to find her own place in a world that has suddenly changed.
